I wish I had more words to give
To my friend in the passenger
Seat–
Those silent eyes that are
Wild and kind ached for
More–
Words that had been hiding
Those unstable syllables that
Spilled–
Fond memories dropped and coated
The steering wheel they were so
Viscous–
My face heated and the torrent
Swelled with such intensity my friend said
Breathe–
You shouldn’t feel as if
You must hoard your
Feelings
